Manage Your Emotions

Invaluable life skills are developed at our sessions, and we help you deal with difficult situations and/or challenging personalities within people, learning effective ways of managing anger and other emotions. Issues are discussed in a private fashion with our trained counsellor. You are never pressured to reveal anything, and our experts give you the tools, skills, and strategies that may be beneficial in your situation. Other options of therapy are available, including hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, as our team are trained in a variety of techniques.

Our Sessions

There’s a range of options for you to choose from, and each is tailored to your needs. View our available sessions below:

Brief Therapy

For those that are short on time, these brief therapy sessions are sure to be beneficial. Lasting between 3-4 weeks,these sessions cover one of the following options:

  • Anger Management
  • Assertiveness Training
  • Anxiety Control
  • Confidence Building
  • Relaxation and Resilience

Your needs are met during these sessions. For example, we can do these on your lunch break if it suits you. These sessions often help you feel positive and in control, allowing you to live your life to the fullest.

Anxiety and Panic

This programme works with long-term anxiety issues and severe panic attacks. This includes hypnotherapy, or a lighter relaxation method if you prefer. Once you request this service, we can usually see you within 10 days.

Phobias/OCD/Intrusive Thoughts

Our EMDR therapy option  is particularly helpful in improving the above conditions. Phobias and OCD have been known to reduce in intensity once this therapy programme is completed.

Couple Counselling

Relationship counselling can be extremely beneficial. Everyone struggles in their relationship, yet often the simplest solutions provide the best results. Couple counselling can be made available at evenings or weekends when necessary.

Child & Adolescent Counselling

Taking place on a Friday afternoon, or on a day that you prefer, our child counselling sessions can be taken from an early age right through to teenage years. The sessions are age appropriate, and we can provide visual and sensory aids and age appropriate toys. Using our empathic skills we aim to help young ones and adolescents to discover who they are by fully exploring their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment that is both child-friendly and 'light' with the aim of assisting them to find their own path towards a more positive future. 

Based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh centres, parents are free to sit with their laptop and a complimentary coffee/ herbal tea, if they wish to stay on the premises during the session.

Book a Free Meeting

Our team understand that arranging counselling may be hard. That is why we offer free 15-minute meetings. This allows you to meet your counsellor in person face to face or you could chat over the phone. You can then decide what you want to do, free from pressure.

The Initial Appointment

Once you’ve requested an initial appointment, we assess your situation to gain an understanding of your aims. Sessions can be held on a weekly or fortnightly basis to fit in with your lifestyle.

This is the first full session. We fully explore the background to your case and discuss options and different strategies. This allows you to choose a programme that is tailored to you. Plans are discussed, and you can choose between a fixed or open plan, depending on your needs. The most appropriate therapy is incorporated into the session. The cost for the first session is always at the same rate as the initial appointment, as we want you to experience the benefits of therapy.
